Three Perfect Pink Roses (v.2)
Three perfect pink roses
Sitting in a row,
Heads bobbing, nodding
As the girl with the salmon legs
Walks by, head nodding to the beat
Of her phone, green leaves
Like candle flames
Raising their hands to praise the day.
A Treasure Trove of Words (v.2)
A treasure trove of words,
Nouns, adjectives and adverbs
Like rubies, diamonds and pearls,
Scatter them about in a Rubiks rainbow
Across the page,
Don’t matter if they got nothing to say
Besides beauty.
Scraps (v.2)
Scraps, gather them greedy,
stitchin’ them together
To make a whole.
Words darned and lumpy
Smooth the creases.
Find it hard to Rumpelstiltskin,
Conjure gold from air.
